Our commitment to you
We aim to provide you with a first class service and provide your horse, pony or donkey with the highest standard of treatment and care.
All fees, consumables and drug charges are subject to VAT at the current rate. Fee levels are determined by the time spent on a case and according to the drugs, materials and consumables used. Details of our fees are available on request and a detailed invoice is provided for every consultation, procedure or transaction.
Estimates can also be provided upon request but please bear in mind that this can only ever be approximate – often a horse’s illness will not follow a conventional course and costs and treatment may vary slightly.
Invoices are issued regularly and payment is due upon receipt. Statements are issued at the beginning of each month. Accounts unpaid after 60 days will be charged 2.5% interest on outstanding balances. You should note that this is not reclaimable from your insurance company if you are making a claim.
Overdue accounts will be referred to our Debt Collection Agency if a satisfactory repayment arrangement has not been made with ourselves. This will result in further administrative costs being added to your account. Persistent late payment may result in the need for all fees to be paid at the time of treatment or withdrawal of our veterinary services.
Any cheque which you issue which is returned unpaid, will result in your account being restored to the original sum together with any fees incurred in the process.
Inability to pay
If you find yourself in the unfortunate position of being unable to pay your account, please discuss this matter as soon as possible with
Sandra Patience the Practice Manager, who will look into payment options.
Equine Health Insurance
Kessock Equine Vets supports the principle of insuring your equine against unexpected illness or accidents. Please be aware that it is your responsibility to settle your account with ourselves, although we are prepared to give you two months credit whilst the insurance company deals with your claim.
Feedback and Complaints
We are always pleased to receive feedback on the service we provide. Please let us know what you think. Whilst we hope that our service does not give you cause for complaint, please contact the Practice Manager in the first instance.
