Office Hours Our clinic is open Monday to Friday 8am – 6pm and 9am – 1pm Saturday. At all other times during out of hours an equine vet will be available via our messaging service. Just dial the usual 01463 731107 and you can arrange a urgent visit or if you need to speak to a vet, they will call you back. We do some routine work on a Saturday morning but we avoid routine work for the rest of the weekend to allow for a more rapid response to emergencies. Arranging visits and Appointments Routine calls can be arranged by calling our friendly staff during normal working hours. Please take note of our FREE ZONE VISIT SCHEME where we offer visits for pre-booked routine work such as vaccinations and dentistry on a particular week day free of charge. For more information see the free zone visit sheet. When booking a visit please make sure we have accurate contact details so that if an emergency should arise and the vet be delayed we can contact you to advise you of this. Please make sure we know the exact location of your horse.
Emergencies In an emergency please call 01463 731107 at any time 24 hours a day 365 days a year. When requesting an emergency visit it is helpful if you provide the following details: the owners name, location of the horse, brief details of the emergency and full contact details. Our staff are fully trained and understand the stress of an emergency situation. Please help them to help us get a vet to you as soon as possible. Telephone Advice If you require advice from a veterinary surgeon then our staff will take the details and a vet will contact you at some time during the day. This may be much later so if your query is urgent please advise our staff at the time. Individual vets can also be contacted on their mobile phones but please remember not to call these numbers when calling at nights or weekends when they may be off-work. Please use only 01463 731107 for emergencies Payment Accounts are processed twice weekly and payment is requested upon receipt of the invoice. Payments can be made in cash, by cheque, debit and all major credit cards. Credit cards can be taken over the telephone or via our secure payment facilities on our website. If your horse is insured please notify the insurance company as soon as possible and pass on the claim form to us for completion. You do not need to wait until the end of the course of treatment to make a claim; this enables your insurers to reimburse your outlay as you go along. Check the small print of your policy to check what is or is not covered before you embark on a course of treatment. Prompt payment of your account enables us to keep our charges as low as possible. Failure to settle your account within 40 days will result in interest charges being added . |
